Bravecto Spot On is a breakthrough treatment for Australian cats, the only product that provides protection against both fleas and deadly paralysis ticks for up to 3 months following application.
Precautions:
Tick paralysis is frequently fatal, so prevention is essential if you live in a tick area, or are planning to visit one. Paralysis ticks are found in most areas of the East coast of Australia and can be active year round in warmer climates. Cats usually pick up ticks in their fur when moving through areas of long grass or scrub. Once attached, the Paralysis tick feeds on your cats blood, whilst also releasing deadly toxin. This toxin causes paralysis, beginning with a change of voice, weakness in the back legs and trouble blinking or swallowing. Without treatment the symptoms progress to paralysis of the muscles of breathing, resulting in death.
Safe for kittens from 11 weeks of age over 1.2kg, the safety of Bravecto in breeding males and females has not been established.
Daily tick searches are highly recommended for cats in tick paralysis areas, even if prevention has been used.
 
Spot-On Solution for cats, a spot-on treatment for fleas and ticks effective for 12 weeks following a single dose.
Bravecto is applied topically using the new 'TwistnUse' pipette design which means the cap doesnt need to be removed. The content of one full Bravecto pipette is applied to the cats skin at the base of the skull of the cat. The pipette to use is selected on the basis of the cats weight. After being given its actions last for 12 weeks against fleas and ticks. It kills fleas within 12 hours and ticks within 48 hours.
Treatment should be repeated every 3 months (12 weeks) for optimal flea and tick control. The product is available in pipettes containing spot-on solution of 112.5 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg for cats.
